Born in 1971, Fujimoto is among the younger architects to gain global prominence in recent years. A graduate of the University of Tokyo, Fujimoto established his namesake architectural practice in 2000, quickly becoming recognized for a delicate, almost ethereal style that invites a close relationship between built form and the natural world. Known for creating light, unenclosed structures, Fujimoto notably designed London's cloud-like Serpentine Pavilion for 2013, as well as 2008's Final Wooden House in Kumamoto, which consists of a simple stack of wooden beams.

Fujimoto's lecture will be held at Convocation Hall (31 King's College Circle) from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Tickets for the lecture are mandatory, and available via eventbrite. The event is free.
