1. Plan for Landmark 1- 7 Yonge Development Continues to Evolve
Our top news story from December covered the evolving plans for a massive mixed-use development from Pinnacle International that would include five Hariri Pontarini-designed towers with heights up to 95 storeys at the foot of Yonge Street. If built as proposed, the tallest tower would become one of the country's tallest, and would add a landmark at the foot of Yonge Street on the Toronto skyline when viewed from the islands. Number two was a story on a longtime surface parking lot on Queen near Jarvis, now seeing development plans, while number three was a proposal for an architecturally striking building at Bay on Davenport by Douglas Cardinal.
