With the sales centre for Scarborough's Spice Urban Towns now officially open to the public, we've been previewing the project's interiors and design elements. Last month, we looked at the virtual suite tour, which took us through one of Spice's split-level townhouse units, culminating in an overview of the generous rooftop terrace. Having gained a better understanding of Spice's interior aesthetic, we now bring you an overview of some of the suite layouts, which come in a variety of configurations.

Featuring a combination of single-level condominium suites and split-level townhomes, the High-Rise Group development caters to a wide range of lifestyles, offering a hybrid of condominium and single-home living. Seen below, a 760 ft² two-bedroom + den suite features two bathrooms, as well as a balcony accessible from the master bedroom.

While the above condominium suite is similar to those found in towers across the city, the 4-storey building creates a different ambiance for residents, with the low-rise character of the project—and the surrounding area—making for a more intimate environment.

Meanwhile, Spice's split-level townhomes provide a more spacious and family-friendly housing option, with much of the privacy of a detached family home. The three bedroom configuration (which can also be arranged as two bedrooms and a separate den) seen in the 1,029 ft² suite below, for example, also features a large outdoor space, with the private rooftop terrace giving residents a place to relax and play.

Meanwhile, many of the lower-level condominium suites also feature ample outdoor space, with the 840 ft² unit below coming out onto a 149 ft² patio.

Designed by Kohn Partnership Architects Inc., the 116-unit development will feature interiors appointed by Bryon Patton and Associates, as well as landscaping by PMA Landscape Architects. Spice's suites will feature stainless steel appliances in the kitchens, while a choice of fixtures and finishes is available for cabinetry and decor elements throughout each unit.

Residents at Spice Urban Towns will be well connected to transit, with TTC's Warden Station minutes away by foot. Danforth GO Station—with trains directly to Downtown—is also just a couple kilometres to the west. Nearby, neighbourhoods of The Danforth, Leslieville, and The Beach, will also offer plenty of dining and shopping options, while the many parks and schools found nearby make the are attractive for families.
