Construction is under way on a bold new development that will add dozens of new homes to Toronto's Bloor and Lansdowne area, as shoring work continues at the St. Helens Avenue site of Aragon Properties' Enigma on the Park. Designed by Quadrangle Architects, the visually engaging 9-storey development will include 86 condo and townhome units, along with office space, adjacent to MacGregor Park.

The shoring activity currently under way on site involves the insertion of hollow steel casings into ground and the removal of its contents with an auger. After the earth has been drilled out, the casings are filled in with concrete and the process is repeated over and over around the site perimeter. Once shoring work is complete, the excavation process can safely begin without risk of the surrounding soil caving in.

Recognizing that some pride of ownership stems from having a unique space to call home, Aragon has included over 50 different suite plans in the building, with sizes ranging from 420 square feet up to 1,567 square feet, and prices ranging from $231,900 up to $999,900. In addition to the range of renderings that show off suite interiors within the development, a cross-section rendering has been released, revealing the layout of one of Enigma's townhome units.

Residents of the completed development will enjoy a limited selection of amenities like a gym, movie room, and a roof deck, keeping maintenance fees more manageable than amenity-laden high-rise developments while still providing essential spaces for residents to socialize and work out.
