Toronto's St. Lawrence neighbourhood is known for its historic charm, but new modern additions are not uncommon in this area of the city. Back on August 12, 2006, construction was well under way at Spire Condos, a towering condominium development at Church and Adelaide.

Fast forward to October 29, 2015, and Spire is now long complete. In the foreground, mid-rise addition The Berczy can be seen occupying the northern half of the block up to the southwest corner of Front and Church. The Berczy features the rebuilt facade of Greey's Factory building, though this came at the cost of the beautiful ivy coverage seen in the before image. This view will be further transformed over the next few years as Sixty Colborne rises 25 storeys above the corner of Church and King, just a couple blocks north of this vantage point.
