Ghods Builders' 5959 Yonge Street Condos is setting itself apart from other Toronto developments, offering a vast array of amenities, including some innovative spaces that you won't find offered in other any condominium projects in the city. Designed by Kirkor Architects Planners, the 43 and 31-storey towers will rise on Yonge Street north of Cummer in North York, intensifying a large site near Finch Subway Station with the addition of new residents, retail, and public space.
Four floors of amenity space are being offered at 5959 Yonge, providing residents with a multitude of common areas in which to relax, socialize with neighbours, and entertain guests. The first amenity level, located on the ground floor, will feature a two lane, ten-pin bowling alley, a pet spa, hospitality rooms, meeting rooms, and a guest suite.
The star feature of the first amenity level will be the innovative glass multi-sport LED fitness court, which features adjustable lines that will allow over a dozen sports to be played. While this feature will be the first of its kind in a Toronto condominium development, the technology has been implemented in a private home in the Bridle Path area, seen in the video below.
On the second floor, 5959 Yonge will offer residents spaces like a sports bar and lounge with multiple large screen TVs, a pool table, a bar, and modular booth seating. There will also be two Hospitality Rooms with a bar, lounge area, private dining room and a shared prep-kitchen, a media lounge and theatre, a guest suite, and another meeting room.
The third floor amenity level includes both indoor and outdoor spaces. Inside, this level features a fitness centre, a pool, and a Yoga/Pilates studio.
Outside, the third amenity level will feature outdoor spaces like the Zen River Garden, barbecue areas, and an outdoor lounge with a bar and flaming water feature.
The fourth amenity level provides a more tranquil environment than the spaces on the lower amenity levels. Here, residents will find strictly outdoor spaces, including cabana lounges, outdoor fire pit, barbecue area, a landscaped garden, a juice bar, and a reflecting pool.
In addition to this already impressive collection of amenity spaces, residents will also have access to a two-storey space located on the 32nd floor of the taller 43-storey tower, called the 'Chai Atrium'. This high-ceilinged space occupies the same square footage as three full condo units in the development, and will give residents of all floors a common space in the sky to take in views of the surrounding city.
