The City of Toronto's Planning Division is holding another 'Planners in Public Spaces' event Wednesday at Nathan Phillips Square, in the heart of the Panamania celebrations taking over Downtown. The public is invited to mingle with city planners and participate in activities developed by students from Maximum City, a summer program created in 2011 that educates middle and high school students in the fields of planning, architecture, urban design and civic sustainability.

From 11 AM to 2 PM on Wednesday the 15th, Maximum City students will present their vision for Toronto's next big idea. A series of displays will help the public understand their concepts, and attendees will be asked to participate in an engagement activity. The event is part of a series of public engagement exercises held across the city since 2013.

The Planners in Public Spaces initiative provides information about Toronto's planning process and the hundreds of major projects changing the landscape of our city. If you're interested in attending one of these events, a complete list of locations, dates and times is available on the official website
