The home of the Toronto FC of Major Leage Soccer (MLS), known locally as BMO Field, is currently being referred to as 'Exhibition Stadium' during the 2015 Pan Am and Para Pan Am Games. The stadium recently underwent the first phase of major upgrades, greatly expanding the facility's capacity in time for the May TFC home opener and the ongoing Pan Am Games. Even more upgrade work will commence in advance of the 2016 MLS season, including a new partial roof over seating areas that will shelter fans from the elements. In today's Photo of the Day, which was submitted to the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool by Sanjay Chauhan, we are shown a view of the new expanded east bleachers as seen from field level.
