The recent ground breaking ceremony Greenland Group's King Blue officially marked the start of construction on the new Page + Steele / IBI Group Architects-designed development in Toronto's Entertainment District. Now, weeks later, the development's presentation centre is being cleared, and temporarily relocated to 175 Bloor St. East, to allow the shoring and excavation stages for the 44 and 48-storey towers which will rise above mixed-use podiums.

King Blue will add hundreds of new homes to an increasingly dense Entertainment District, as well as a 122-room Primus Hotel occupying the King Street-facing side of the podium, while the new 9,000 square foot home of Theatre Museum Canada will take a part of the podium's Mercer Street frontage.

The project's 910 residential units range in price between $299,000 to $1,000,000. Residents of King Blue Condos will enjoy access to Primus Hotel services plus amenity spaces including a fitness centre and pool appointed by Munge Leung, and outdoor areas like a rooftop terrace landscaped by NAK Design Group

With the site now being primed for the start of construction, we look forward to watching the transformation of this site into both a new centre for culture and residential vibrancy to one of Toronto's most eclectic areas.
