Located just off of Don Mills Road in North York, Emerald City is a new community comprised of high-rise condominiums and townhomes knitted into a neighbourhood of pre-existing tower-in-the-park style buildings. Now into its second phase, ground breaking for the first building of The Colours of Emerald City took place recently.

On hand for the event were, from left to right: Ori Belavin - Manager, Development & Planning, Emerald City Developments; Rafael Lazer – Chief Executive Officer, Emerald City Developments; Netanel Ben Or – Executive Vice President Business Development & Marketing, Emerald City Developments; Ron Weinstock – Vice President, Development & Construction, Emerald City Developments; Shelley Carroll, Councillor for Ward 33 – Don Valley East; John Iwasykiw - Senior Project Manager, Emerald City Developments.

Designed by WZMH Architects, the 13-storey structure has a contemporary feel to the exterior, while the II BY IV Design Associates-designed interior will host a number of amenities that will be shared with the second building of this phase. Amenities include an equipped fitness centre, hot tub, his and hers saunas, pool area, an outdoor patio and terrace, an indoor dining room, lounge, screening room and games room, and for overnight company, residents will also be able to invite guests and have them stay at a hotel-style guest suite. Residents can host friends and family in a party room which leads onto a terrace and patio.

Apart from the amenities within the walls of their condominium, residents will live in close proximity to Don Mills subway station, Fairview Mall, and Highways 401 and 404. Residents will also be steps from the soon-to-open Parkway Forest Community Centre where they take advantage of many programs on offer, including working-out at the gym, going for a dip in the outdoor pool, or enjoying the sports fields just outside. A YMCA-operated day care will be located at the centre.
