In what many consider to be Canada's most fashionable neighbourhood, Camrost-Felcorp's Cumberland at Yorkville Plaza will soon rise above the intersection of Avenue Road and Cumberland. Designed by WZMH Architects, the 40-storey tower will add 363 new condominium units to the area, ranging in size from 385 square feet up to 855 square feet. Those suites represent about 500 new residents to add to the vibrancy of Bloor-Yorkville's streets.

The walkable neighbourhood with its shopping, dining, nightlife, cultural venues, and great transportation links are what makes Bloor-Yorkville such an attractive place to live, but on top of that, residents of Cumberland at Yorkville Plaza will also enjoy a full complement of amenity spaces appointed by the interior designers at The Design Agency.

The amenities include an aquatics centre with an indoor pool and whirlpool spa, men’s and women’s change rooms with showers, day lockers and steam room, a fitness auditorium with circuit training and cardio equipment, a meditation/yoga studio, a large outdoor terrace with covered modern bar and prep kitchen, gas barbecues, sun deck and lounge area. Two suites will accommodate overnight guests.

The new tower will rise to the immediate south of Camrost-Felcorp's The New Residences of Yorkville Plaza; these condominium suites are located in the 31-storey tower which was previously the Four Seasons Yorkville.

Cumberland at Yorkville Plaza is being built where the former hotel's podium stood before it was demolished in late 2012 and early 2013. Two years later, upward construction on the development is now well under way, with the building's below-grade garage levels now taking shape.

Additional information and plenty of renderings can be found in the dataBase files for both residential phases of the project, linked below. Want to get involved in the discussion? Check out the associated Forum threads, or leave a comment in the space provided at the bottom of this page.
