Work has progressed up to the third floor slab of the building's three-storey podium, after which we can expect to see the repetitive tower floor layouts to rise at an expedited rate. The completed development will reach a height of 549 feet, and offer 622 condominium units.

Next door, excavation has wrapped up, and the initial upward construction has begun for the second phase of the project, dubbed Riva del Lago. This 14-storey building will rise to the immediate southeast of Lago at the Waterfront on Marine Parade Drive.

Riva del Lago will feature a variation on the design of its taller sibling next door, with the boutique condo building will offer its residents a smaller, more intimate scale.

Monarch Group, which was recently purchased by Mattamy Homes, will live on as Mattamy's high-rise division. Some of Monarch's other recent Toronto projects include the nearby WaterscapesCouture on Jarvis Street, and Picasso currently under construction on Richmond Street.
