Amidst debate of the highway's future, the Gardiner Expressway was closed over the weekend to facilitate Spring maintenance. Though the closure was troublesome for some, it provided a great photo opportunity for photographer Vik Pahwa, who submitted today's Photo of the Day to the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool. This shot looks east over the expressway, showing a stretch now flanked by high-rise development.
