Something different is coming to Danforth Road just north of the intersection with Danforth Avenue. According to Paul Maggicomo, founder of interior design firm Tanner Hill Associates Inc., the new mid-rise condo in store for 250 Danforth Road by developer Time Development Group, will offer its target demographic of young, urban-savvy, inhabitants with something, "a little bit off the wall."

Beginning with a fresh, contemporary design by Kohn Partnership Architects Inc., Maggicomo hopes that a fun array of playful, interior touches and amenities will help push this new, mixed-use, nine-storey mid-rise condo over the edge for new buyers. At front and centre of Danforth Square's youthful approach will be the planned main-floor Party Room, complete with full-service bar, plenty of lounge seating, indoor-and-outdoor-space, and a quirky, round billiards table added for extra flair. Starting at just $179,900, this up-and-coming location is being sold as a great first home for young, urban professionals who want to be part of the action.

Inside the units, three levels of interior finishes will be available upon purchase, all of which will include a variety of modern, state-of-the-art materials and fixtures, including stone countertops, ceramic tiles, laminate or hardwood flooring, designer cabinetry, and more. While affordability may be the top selling point for young, first-time buyers, it is very important to Maggicomo that all owners receive the best custom package for their needs, while not sacrificing on quality and design. If the building is going to last, if it is to be built with an eye towards longevity, then, according to Maggicomo, only the best materials can and should be employed for the benefit of all involved.

Keeping with its active lifestyle theme, Danforth Square will also feature an exercise room and yoga studio, along with a landscaped rooftop patio with views of the lake, and somewhat uniquely, free WiFi throughout the entire building for guests. For those who choose to balance work and play and want to do it onsite, there will be a small business centre. Getting downtown, whether for work or to check out the latest show, gallery, or restaurant, will be easy for residents, as the Warden TTC stop is just steps away. In summer months, Toronto's famous Beaches neighbourhood is not far away, and in fact the Lake will glisten in easy view of the south-facing balconies and the shared, rooftop patio.

Lastly, Danforth Square will be broken down into a unique mixture of urban and freehold units, depending on floor and layout, and the ground level will be dedicated primarily to retail, lobby space, and the aforementioned party room and business centre. Danforth Square promises the conveniences found in the mix of uses, making for an appealing home for buyers in Toronto's rapidly up-and-coming East End.
