The area surrounding the Bay and Dundas intersection 'behind" Toronto City Hall has been the site of much development over the past decade, with new commercial and residential projects adding businesses and full time residents to the area. The new projects have both filled in surface parking lots and replaced older, disused buildings, even one that was known as the 'City Hall Ghost'.

Back on August 8, 2005, construction was well under way at the site of Diamante Developments' One City Hall, a 16-storey, 522 unit condominium development designed by Hariri Pontarini and Young + Wright Architects on the southeast corner of Dundas and Elizabeth Streets.

Fast forward almost ten years, to April 9, 2015, and construction of the development has long since been completed.

We turn to a wider view to show off the completed One City Hall condominium development, a well as the adjacent Motion on Bay Street rental development to the east, which was recently completed and can be seen in the upper left corner of the shot below.

We will return next week with another look at the changing face of Toronto!
