On the east side of North York, the first three phases of ELAD Canada’s Emerald City development have already added about a 1200 new homes to the area served by Don Mills Station on the Sheppard Subway (Line 4). Interest in the multi-phased condo and townhome community remains high, and with the first three towers at Emerald City already sold out, 99% sold, and 90% sold out respectively, the next phase of the community—dubbed The Colours of Emerald City—is now in its sales phase after launching earlier this year, and is expected to begin construction this Summer.

Like the development’s earlier phases, the 13-storey first tower at the Colours of Emerald City has been designed by WZMH Architects, and builds upon the development's theme of colour, best represented by the multiple art commissions by artist Douglas Coupland. The first tower, along with an upcoming second one, will benefit from shared amenities including a guest suite, fitness centre, a hot tub, his and hers saunas, a pool area, and a party room opening up to an outdoor patio and terrace, all appointed by interior designers II BY IV Design Associates. Suites in the new phase are priced from the mid-$200,000s, and offer approximately 9-foot ceiling heights, quartz or granite kitchen countertops, fully integrated or stainless steel appliances, and either balconies or terraces.

The development primarily offers condominium suites, though a select group of 2,000 square-foot townhome units was quite well received by families, and all 11 of these towns have sold out. There are still plenty of condominium suites remaining though, and for those looking to move in to the community sooner, Emerald City's Dream Tower is offering immediate occupancy on its remaining units.

Proximity to the subway, and nearby shopping and neighbourhood amenities like Fairview Mall and the new Parkway Forest Community Centre are just a few among the many selling factors drawing new residents to the Don Mills and Bayview area. Residents who prefer to drive have easy access to two of the city's most vital highways, the 401 and 404/Don Valley Parkway.

You can learn more about the development by visiting the Emerald City Presentation Centre at the southeast corner of Don Mills Road and Sheppard Avenue from Monday to Thursday 11 AM to 6 PM, Saturdays and Sundays from Noon to 5 PM.
