We have been following the launch of Ghods Builders's new 5959 Yonge Street Condos development at Yonge and Cummer in North York. The first phase of this multi-tower condominium community will consist of 31 and 43-storey Kirkor Architects Planners-designed buildings offering retail and an impressive selection of amenity offerings. Last week, we got our first look at the project's presentation centre, which is located on the site of the future development.

The centrepiece of the 5959 Yonge Street presentation centre is the scale model of the development, which shows off the first of the planned 4 towers, as well as the position of the second tower. Two further towers are planned to eventually be built to the north.

Right beside the scale model, a large screen plays a promotional video that shows off the standout amenities that 5959 is fast becoming known for in the real estate world. An LED-striped sports court will be the first of its kind, while the bowling alley pictured below is another recreational opportunity at the development.

The presentation centre features a small kitchen vignette, as well as a full-sized model suite, which has been appointed by DesignTheory in cooperation with Ghods' in-house design team. Ghods has elected to show off one of their two-bedroom, two-bathroom penthouse units, which sizes in at approximately 1,100 square-feet and offers 9-foot ceiling heights versus the 8-foot heights found on lower floors.

There is a whole lot more to see at the 5959 Yonge Street presentation centre, and we will return with detailed looks at the model suite and the scale model, or plan visit for yourself: the presentation centre is open Monday to Thursday 11 AM to 6 PM and Saturday and Sunday noon to 6 PM.
