Along with Guelph and Cambridge, Kitchener-Waterloo is part of Canada's "Tech Triangle", an area of Ontario home to many of the country's leading technology companies and scores of start-ups. With the tech industry booming, young professionals are being drawn to the Kitcehner-Waterloo region in growing numbers, and new, modern residential developments are being built in the area to cater to rising demand for housing. Last month, we introduced Savic Homes' new Avalon Urban Towns development, a townhouse development coming to the west side of Kitchener that features a modern design sure to appeal to the growing demographic of younger homebuyers.

The development offers 108 townhouses designed by ABA Architects which are arranged into three separate blocks of 36 each. Units at Avalon will start at 668 square feet and go up to 1,009 square feet, with prices ranging between $199,900 and $289,000.

Townhouses at Avalon feature interiors by designers Dfy Studio, and come in open-concept two bedroom plans that feature bright modern interiors, complementing the contemporary aesthetic of the development's exterior, while outside, residents will enjoy fresh air on their private balconies or terraces.

Kitchens will feature stainless steel appliances and bright, contemporary cabinetry. Some units at Avalon will also offer kitchen islands.

Located in a quiet, low-density community, residents at Avalon will be situated near several neighbourhood amenities, including a future neighbourhood park that will feature a playground and a half basketball court. Groceries and parks are only a short walk away.
