Australian architect John Andrews is perhaps best known around Toronto for his design for the iconic CN Tower, a structure known internationally for it's record-setting height. John Andrews is also responsible for another GTA landmark, this one located in Scarborough. The Andrews Building at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus is one of the more striking examples of Brutalist architecture in the region, and the building exterior sports many features distinctive of the style, both inside and out. In today's Photo of the Day, which was submitted to the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool by Vik Pahwa, we are given a vertigo-inducing view down an oblong-shaped staircase within the facility.
