Master-planned communities have become an important tool in redeveloping the large swaths of land common in Toronto's many former suburban areas. At Highway 401 and Kennedy Road in Scarborough, a sixth tower will soon be added to Tridel's Metrogate community. Designed by Graziani + Corazza Architects, the 35-storey Avani2 will mirror the design of sibling Avani, turned at a 90 degree angle.

Avani2 will feature 363 suites, coming in 1 bedroom, 1 bedroom plus den, 2 bedroom and 2 bedroom plus den models and ranging in size between 469 square-feet up to 827 square-feet, starting from the low $200,000s. Among these suites, Tridel is currently featuring a one bedroom suite design called 1F+D, which includes a large den, a modern L-shaped kitchen, a living room and two bathrooms, as well as a balcony overlooking Metrogate Park and the Toronto skyline.

Like all suites in Avani2, the 675 square-foot 1F+D model will include Rogers 100% fibre–to-the-home technology, delivering download speeds up to approximately 100 MB per second and upload speed up to approximately 20 MB per second, with unlimited usage.

Avani2 is only one element in the larger Metrogate master-planned community, which includes five other condominium towers, a block of townhomes and a large central park. Tridel has recently released a video that covers the construction of previous phases while also looking ahead at the upcoming Avani2.

Tridel is currently holding a Grand Opening for Avani2 at the project's sale centre, located at 52 Village Green Square, off of Kennedy Rd., just north of Highway 401. To learn more about Avani2, you can check out their presentation centre between Monday to Friday: 11 am – 7 pm, or 12 pm – 6 pm on weekends and holidays, or visit Tridel's website, where up-to-date floorplans and prices are regularly posted.
