Ryerson's Department of Architectural Science 2014 - 2015 Lecture Series continues tomorrow with a lecture from the University of Toronto's Director of the Master of Landscape Architecture Program, Alissa North, titled Operative Landscapes. The title of the seminar is derived from Alissa's award-winning book called 'Operative Landscapes: Building Communities Through Public Space', recipient of the OALA 2014 Research and Innovation award.

Aside from her work with the University of Toronto John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design, Alissa is also a founding partner of Toronto based landscape architecture firm North Design Office. Established in 2005 in partnership with Pete North, North Design Office has been the recipient of multiple awards in just a few short years, owing to their expertise in inventively solving challenges and creating inviting urban environments and open spaces.

Alissa North will be speaking tomorrow evening, Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 6:30 pm, in The Pit (ARC 202) at 325 Church Street. The talk is open to all.
