Opened in 1963, the TTC's Museum Station is situated just below the Royal Ontario Museum at Bloor and Queens Park. The station underwent a Diamond Schmitt Architects-led revitalization, which was completed in 2008. The revitalization involved the re-cladding of the station walls with mauve aluminum plate and Lexan panels, as well as the addition of ornamentation to the station's supporting columns, which now pay homage to the Museum for which the station is named. In today's Photo of the Day, which was submitted to the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool by Peter Crock, we can see a train rushing through the station as well as an Ancient Egyptian-themed support column.
