A screening on Monday evening at 6:45 PM at the Bloor Hot Docs Cinema will try to answer the question 'How does Architecture affect the quality of our lives?' As another component of the Toronto Design Offsite Festival presented by the OAA, In-Context Videos will look at architectural and urban planning projects across Canada and delve into how these works have affected the lives of the people who live, work, learn, or play in them everyday.

Projects considered include, for example, a group of unique and celebrated buildings in Waterloo, Ontario: the Perimeter Institute in Waterloo, both the Saucier + Perrotte and Teeple phases, the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery by Patkau Architects, and the CIGI Campus by KPMB Architects. A total of 7 videos will look at buildings chosen for their profound social, political or economic impact on their surroundings across the country.

In-Context, a video documentary series made in association with the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, looks at the role of contemporary architecture in addressing some of the most pressing issues facing Canadian cities. The screening will be followed by a short Q&A with the creators of In-Context, Andrea Lacalamita and Raja Moussaoui.
