Many of us have been waiting for the massive parking lot at the corner of Front Street West and Spadina Avenue to be developed. State Building Group, the owner of this site known as 400 Front Street West as of Spring 2014, has announced a multi building development on this plot neighbouring only a few properties such as Empire Communities' Fly Condos.
As seen in the image above, the land runs along Spadina Avenue, Front Street West, Clarence Square East, Wellington Street West and the Blue Jays Way. This is a unique opportunity as the area is currently witnessing an explosive growth and that such significant properties are getting rare in the downtown core.
A public information meeting has been set for February 3, 2015 at Metro Hall - 55 John Street, Room 302 - at 7.30pm for the developer to introduce the proposed development to its neighbours; an early opportunity for residents to ask questions, as "formal development applications have not yet been submitted", according to Ward 20's website.
