Construction is progressing at the Humber Bay site of Times Group's Key West, a 44-storey Burka Architects-designed condominium tower, now approximately two thirds of the way to its final height on Park Lawn Road. The development will be adding 421 condominium units to the area, ranging in size from 520 square feet to 1,225 square feet, as well as six retail / commercial units.

With completion slated for 2016, it is still a ways off until residents replace construction workers at the development, but once they've been given their keys they can expect to enjoy suites with long views across the city, and a wide range of amenities spread across the building's lower floors.

On the ground floor, residents will have access to several indoor amenities, including a fitness centre, lounge, dining room, presentation kitchen, a billiards room and a multi-purpose room. These spaces will all face the lush green of the Mimico Creek Valley, soon to feature a bicycle trail connecting Key West and adjacent developments to the expansive recreation offered in the Humber Bay Parks and far beyond via the Waterfront Trail.

Upstairs on the second floor, residents will find another suite of indoor amenity spaces, as well as outdoor amenities on the podium rooftop. Indoor amenities here include a tech lounge, presentation kitchen, media lounge and a yoga studio, while their overnight guests will be able to book a guest suite.

Outside, residents will be able to relax in the outdoor lounges and cook and dine in the barbecue and al fresco dining area. A green roof will occupy the remainder of the podium rooftop, part of Times Group's push to make Key West a candidate for Toronto TIER 2 Green Standards classification.
