The Yonge and Finch area of North York has been the site of some impressive growth in recent years, and new developments like Ghods Builders5959 Yonge are gearing up to further densify North York's Yonge Street corridor. We have already explored the design of the Kirkor Architects Planners-designed fraternal twin towers, and today we return with a look at some of the outstanding amenities that will await the building's residents upon completion of the project.

5959 Yonge's signature on the skyline will be its two-level 'Chai' atrium, specially designed to foster interaction between residents, but that is just the first of the extensive list of amenities that the development will offer: over an acre of indoor and outdoor amenities are to be spread out across four floors across the complex.

Amenity levels 1 and 2—dubbed Club 5959—will offer residents a 10 pin bowling alley, Media Room, big screen Movie Room, Sports Bar and Lounge with multiple flat screen TVs, a pool table, a Library/Meeting room, Business Centre, and a DIY Pet Spa. Two hospitality suites and a large party room will provide residents space to entertain guests, who can be accommodated overnight in the building's guest suites.

To add to that comprehensive amenity offering on levels 1 and 2 will be a first in the world for condominium developments: a multi-purpose LED sports court. The versatile court transforms itself, using LED lighting to mark out the lines of play for basketball, volleyball, squash, badminton, and even indoor soccer, at the touch of a button.

Amenity levels 3 and 4 will provide residents with a more tranquil experience than the level 1 and 2 amenity areas, including features like a Zen river garden, a fire/water feature invite relaxation, and a reflecting pool.   Residents will also have access to an indoor pool, a dry sauna and wet steam room, a fitness centre and a Yoga/Pilates Studio. Also being offered is a bbq patio bar and lounge, as well as a rooftop terrace with impressive city views.
