Condominiums and apartments are growing in popularity around the GTA, but the high-density housing model doesn't quite work for everyone. Life at ground level in the form of townhouses and semi-detatched houses still holds an important place in the housing market, and new projects like Heritage Gate Mississauga Road by developer Dunpar Homes are offering the type of more spacious homes that continue to dominate much of the suburban market.

This development consists of 65 three-storey townhomes and semi-detached houses south of Streetsville, ranging in size from 1,500 to 2,800 square feet, and coming in two, three, and four-bedroom models. Homes at Heritage Gate come standard with features like  9’6” ceiling heights, rooftop terraces, and options like private elevators.

Construction of the development that will echo Streetsville's Victorian vernacular architecture is now officially under way. Crews are preparing for the foundations of the townhomes and semi-detached houses, marking the first step in the project's construction.
