2014 is rolling to a close, and with it, another year of frenetic development activity across the region. Many new buildings have been completed over the last twelve months, altering the built form of neighbourhoods all around the GTA. Everyone has an opinion on the architectural and planning choices that a new development brings to the table, and to give your voice an outlet on these matters, we are running a series of year-end polls, asking you to pick your favourite completed developments of 2014.

Since picking just one favourite is a tough choice for many, we have broken down this year's completed buildings into four separate categories; Commercial, Institutional, Tower-style residential and Avenues-style residential. The first of these four polls, Commercial, is already active on our Forum, and you still have until Sunday to cast your vote.

Once the polling period for the Commercial category ends on Sunday, we will follow up with the remaining polls in increments of a few days. Due to the overwhelming amount of projects completed during 2014, we expect that both residential categories will be voted in divided groups, followed by a runoff poll.

You can vote in our first poll here.
