The Madison, a Kirkor Architects-designed condominium development by Madison Homes, is a major new project that promises to transform Eglinton Avenue east of Yonge Street. It consists of 33 and 36-storey condominium towers that rise from an eight-storey podium with two storeys of retail at the base, including a 40,000 square-foot Loblaws supermarket, which will bring more choice in groceries to local residents. The nearest supermarkets are currently the Metro at the Yonge Eglinton Centre, and the Sobeys at Mount Pleasant and Soudan, just south of Eglinton.

When we last updated the construction progress of The Madison, work was under way on the podium's second level at the west end of the development, and at the fourth level on the east end of the site.

In the time since, the west side of the podium (below) has begun to catch up with the east side, with the shell of the Loblaws now complete. With just a few more floors to pour before work gets under way on the development's two towers above, we can expect to see progress at this site speed up dramatically in the coming months.

Once construction of The Madison is completed, residents of the development's 644 condominium units will have enjoy a range of amenities, including 16,254 square-feet of indoor spaces and 6,204 square-feet of outdoor terraces. All amenity and common areas at The Madison are being designed by Munge Leung
