Just southeast of Davisville subway station, a new residential development is in the process of climbing its way back up to street level. Life Condos, by Chestnut Hill Homes and A2A Capital Management, started construction almost exactly a year ago with the project's shoring and excavation phases, and over the past few of months, a tower crane has been erected and the concrete and steel rebar garage walls are now rising from the bottom of the pit.

In the images above and below, captured by UT Forum contributor Roundabout, we can see that a large amount of concrete has already been poured for the building's P3 level, with formwork in place for the P2 level above.

Designed by Quadrangle Architects, the garage of the 13-storey condominium development is being built almost to all lot lines. The first seven storeys will be T-shaped, with a drive court on the east side, and light well on the west side. Step backs on the south side of the building gradually reduce the building's bulk at the sixth and eighth storeys, followed by terraces on each of the upper four storeys.

Once construction is completed, the new development will contain 149 residential units ranging in size from 463 to 1,342 square feet. Residents of Life Condos will have access to amenities including an outdoor deck, fitness centre, party room, a meeting room, and a suite for guests to stay in overnight.
