The Onni Group's master-planned Westlake community on the Etobicoke Waterfront is set to grow once more with the addition of Westlake Encore, a 46-storey, Page + Steele / IBI Group Architects-designed condominium tower soon to rise from the north end of the site where Lake Shore Boulevard and Park Lawn Road meet at the Mimico Creek.

Encore will join Westlake's first three towers and an assortment of convenient ground level stores including a red-brick clad Metro supermarket scheduled to open in early 2015, a Shoppers Drug Mart, two banks, and several more shops and places to eat. Construction progress means that the first three towers, two of which have topped off and the third of which will do so shortly, will begin to occupy in the coming months.

Westlake Encore is offering 523 condominium units ranging in size between 472 ft² to 1,270 ft², with prices starting from $239,000. Residents of the development will have access to a long list of amenities, including an outdoor pool, rooftop deck with cabanas and fire pits, BBQ area, indoor squash/basketball court, steam room, golf simulator, games room, as well as a media room and business centre.

The highlight of the amenity spaces will be the Club Encore Sky Lounge and Fitness Centre, seen in the rendering below, which makes up the building's entire penthouse floor. The extra-high ceilings will contribute to the amazing views that residents and guests will enjoy here, whether they be relaxing or partying or working out. From here, people will be able to see across Humber Bay to the city's skyline, or across Lake Ontario to the twinkling lights on the southern shore.

Suites at Westlake Encore will feature large windows which maximize natural light. Kitchens contain stone countertops, undermounted stainless steel sink and chrome faucets, glass tile backsplashes, flat-panel cabinets and under-cabinet puck lights. Bathrooms will feature marble or limestone tile flooring, European-style vanity setups with hardware and mirrors, composite stone countertops with 4" backsplashes and undermounted sinks with chrome faucets. Bathrooms at Westlake Encore will also contain walk-in shower stalls with porcelain mosaic tile base and frameless glass doors, plus dual flush toilets and low flow faucets. Every suite comes with a balcony or a terrace.

Once Encore is completed, a new and vibrant community will have been born along the treed east bank of the Mimico Creek, close to Downtown Toronto, Sherway Gardens, Pearson Airport, and miles of lakefront parks and trails. The growing charm of the Mimico-on-the-Lake shopping strip is a short walk away, while groceries and more will just mean an elevator trip to ground level.
