Yesterday's opening of the TTC's Union Station second platform marked a major step forward in the modernization of the 60-year-old subway station, and several commuter-slash-photographers were on the scene Monday morning for their first glimpse of the new Yonge-bound platform. Today's Photo of the Day, submitted to the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool by Vik Pahwa, shows a view looking across the unbelievably clean, 500-foot-long platform as a train boards.
