Though its days may be numbered, Honest Ed's is still a Toronto landmark. Most are familiar with the building's exterior signage and its hundreds of glowing incandescent bulbs, as well as the many hand-painted signs visible in the windows at the southwest corner of Bathurst and Bloor. The large Honest Ed's property is divided in two by a long mid-block connection between Bathurst and Markham Streets known as Honest Ed's Alley. While most of the laneways in this neighbourhood are lined with graffiti, the walls of Honest Ed's Alley are covered in the familiar hand-painted signage seen around the rest of the property, lit from above by a canopy of lights. Today's Photo of the Day, submitted to the UrbanToronto Flickr Pool by Stilez, gives us a look at the alley as seen at dusk.
