Several new condominiums projects are set to emerge on the Toronto scene in the next month, and while details on some are still sketchy, here's what we have on a few of them:
On Dufferin Street north of Eglinton, Royalpark Homes' The Bean Condominiums is one of the many new developments taking advantage of the improved transit service the Eglinton-Crosstown LRT will bring to the neighbourhoods along the line. While we have yet to receive official renderings, we do know that the 5-storey, 50-unit development is being designed by Romanov Romanov Architects and will be located a short walk from the LRT's Dufferin station.
ZIGG Condos by developers Madison Homes and Fieldgate Homes will be a mid-rise development on St. Clair Avenue, just west of Avenue Road. ZIGG is one of the several mid-rise projects that will reshape Toronto's arterial thoroughfares, or Avenues, responding to a city planning initiative which calls for intensification along main streets well served by transit. The 11-storey, 168-unit development is designed by Kirkor Architects Planners, and we have one rendering of the project in our ZIGG Condos dataBase file, linked at the bottom of this article.
The Kip District by Concert Properties will be a five-building condominium development at Kipling and Dundas in Etobicoke. The project is a redevelopment of a former Canadian Tire property very close to Kipling TTC and GO station. Its 25-storey first phase is designed by Page + Steel / IBI Group Architects.
Riverside Square will be an addition to Streetcar Developments' extensive repertoire of mixed-use condominium properties in the up-and-coming Riverside area on Toronto's east side. The first phase 24-storey tower by RAW Design will be built on the east side of the Don River at Queen Street.
North York is seeing impressive growth as well, and 5959 Yonge St. Condos by Ghods Builders Inc. will be adding a major shot of density to the Yonge and Finch area. Designed by Kirkor Architects Planners, the project will be comprised of four 14-storey buildings, on Yonge Street just north of Cummer. No renderings have been released yet, but we expect details to start emerging in the coming weeks.
We will be keeping our eyes out for more details on the projects mentioned in this article, and many more! In the meantime, you can check out the dataBase files, linked below, to see the information we have so far.
