With construction of Canderel's Aura at College Park now in its late stages, we now have a much clearer picture of how the 78-storey, Graziani + Corazza Architects-designed condominium tower will look once complete in a few months time. The tower has been topped off, and the sloping fins of the roof feature are almost fully installed around the mechanical penthouse.
One of the final elements of the building is its distinctive skyline lighting feature, which illuminates the upper floors of the building with vertical LED strips of varying lengths. Last night, Aura's light feature was tested more fully than had previously been seen, and within minutes of the lights turning on, our Forum was flooded with countless photos of the spectacle.
The lights were noticed shortly before sunset, and in the following hours, over a dozen photos from various angles began to appear on our Aura at College Park Forum thread.
As the sun got lower in the sky, the lights became comparatively brighter, and the views grew increasingly striking.
Possibly the coolest view of this new lighting feature came from Forum contributor Razz, who captured this dramatic shot of Aura and the Toronto skyline at dawn this morning.
Additional information, including building facts, renderings and floor plans, can be found in Aura's dataBase file, linked below. Want to get involved in the discussion or see more of the photos?
