Tomorrow from noon to 2 PM The Upper House Condos will host a grand opening event at their presentation centre at 25 Malcolm Road where Laird Drive and Millwood Road meet in leafy Leaside. Attendees will be treated to a barbecue, but most importantly will be presented with an early selection of the best suites that Upper House has to offer.

The Upper House, developed by Knightstone, is bringing boutique living to the mid-town neighbourhood, whether in a suite in the 7-storey tower, or in a townhome. The condos will have a scenic backdrop in an neighbourhood lush with greenspace and quiet residential streets, while being close to the revitalized retail and business area of Leaside's east side. This mixture of local commercial, industrial, and residential legacies is reflected in the building's Kearns Mancini Architects design, one which features red and black brick finishes, and is pixelated with prominent windows and glazed balconies. The design gives the building an industrial appearance warmed by modern living aesthetics.

The interiors of The Upper House Condos are designed by Chase, will feature a variety of amenities such as the residents' lounge, complete with a full catering kitchen, dining area, fireplace and a large screen TV, with access to an outdoor patio garden. Also to be found in the building will be a fitness studio, equipped with weights, cardio equipment, and a stretching area, and a pet spa, complete with dog grooming and care services to make things easy for residents with canine friends.

The condos, stating from the low 300,000s, will consist of 74 condo units and 7 two-storey townhomes. Suites will include a combination of one to three bedroom units with with dens and studies. The townhomes offer two bedroom living with additions like studies, family rooms and offices. The suites range from 435 to 1,389 sqaure feet for the condos and 1,059 to 1,497 square feet in the townhomes. The suites will boast 9 foot ceilings in principal rooms, hardwood floors and balconies, terraces and patios with gas-lines for BBQs, eletrical outlets and hose bibs. Quartz kitchen countertops and integrated appliances, like refrigerators and dishwashers, will also be available.
