One of Toronto's oldest and most established neighbourhoods, The Annex is bordered roughly by Bloor, Dupont, Bathurst and Avenue Road. The neighbourhood is known for its historic architecture and quiet tree-lined streets, as well as rich student culture with student housing and dozens of fraternities and sororities serving the University of Toronto. The Annex is also home to several mid-rise and high-rise residential buildings found lining the area's major thoroughfares, offering panoramic views of the growing city around them. Today's Photo of the Day, which comes from our recently re-launched Flickr Pool, shows a rising skyline set behind a quiet neighbourhood.
