Toronto's move to The Avenues is underway. Our walkable main streets, home to shops and restaurants of all kinds, served by transit and surrounded by mature neighbourhoods providing parks, schools, and other services, were identified by the City in last decade as a natural place to add new mid-rise mixed-use residential buildings to Toronto. The south side of the building, meanwhile, is marked by extensive terraces overlooking the surrounding green-canopied neighbourhood. While suites on the upper floors will offer commanding skyline views, closer to ground level, residents will feel connected to the local scene. RAW has designed exactly the sort of building here the City of Toronto imagined when it first sought to bring new life to our main streets.
