The corner of Queen Street West and Gladstone has been the site of an ongoing transformation ever since Streetcar Developments began work on the intimate loft style building called Two Gladstone. 8 Gladstone and The Carnaby followed as construction moved north along the block, adding to the sense of urban chic with a decidedly European inspired laneway setting. Now the evolution of the project is set to reach its culmination with the addition of TWENTY, at 20 Gladstone. The seven-storey loft building will represent the finishing touch to Streetcars' master planned community in Toronto's eclectic and funky Art and Design District.

Contributing to the sense of connectivity and integration is the inclusion of a pedestrian and cyclist friendly avenue called The Row. This landscaped thoroughfare connects residents with amenities such as the on-site Metro grocery store, shops and studios. The Row will also offer access to the coming southern extension of the West Toronto Rail Path bicycle and walking trail.

Not only will residents at Twenty have access to some of the city's best bars, restaurants and art galleries at their doorstep, the building's on-site amenities will include a sun deck and cocktail lounge; barbecues and dining space; state-of-the-art fitness centre; games rooms and guest suites. If something less active is desired, Streetcar Developments have even included a community park as part of the project.

Expect the exterior of the building to be a contemporary combination of materials: brick, terracotta, metal, concrete, glass and steel. Terraces and balconies designed by TACT Architecture will also be a feature.

Suites will be stylish and streamlined with exposed concrete pillars, nine-foot ceilings, hardwood floors and frosted glass sliding doors. We will return shortly for a look at the model suites now on display and attractively staged by Seven Haus Design.
