Over the past few years, the Sheppard East corridor has become a popular hub for condominium development in North York. Adding to the list of developments along the avenue is Biyu Condos, officially announced by ELAD Canada today. Biyu is the newest phase of the master-planned Emerald City community at Sheppard and Don Mills. Biyu will rise just across George Henry Boulevard from the first developments of the master-planned neighbourhood; Emerald City I & II and Dream Tower are just to the north.

Proximity to Don Mills subway station, Highways 401 and 404, and the Don Valley Parkway, make this new neighbourhood very connected. With Fairview Mall just across Sheppard, shopping will be a breeze. Recreation at Biyu will be easy to come by too, both in the building, and out. Amenities at Biyu include an indoor pool, whirlpool, saunas, party room, and a guest suite, while just to the east there will be the 50,000 square-foot Parkway Forest Community Centre, now under construction, featuring an outdoor pool, YMCA daycare, and a full gymnasium, all next door to a 13 acre park.

The exterior of Biyu was designed by WZMH Architects (responsible for Emerald City I, II, and Dream Tower) while the interior is by II BY IV Design Associates. The condominium will rise thirteen storeys high, and prices per unit will start in the mid-$200,000's.

While the community of Emerald City will continue to grow for several years, the first three condominium towers are expected to be fully occupied in 2014.
