Rising in the increasingly vibrant Old Town Toronto to the east of Downtown is Plaza's Ivory on Adelaide. Situated near the intersection of Adelaide and Sherbourne, residents of the complex will be within walking distance to many local amenities including the St. Lawrence Market on Front Street.
With over 90% of units already sold, this 22-storey, Hariri Pontarini Architects-designed tower will feature ground floor retail space, and residential amenities including party rooms and landscaped courtyards. In addition, a rooftop lounge and urban park is sure to offer great views of the city and surrounding neighbourhood.
Construction on the development has continued to progress significantly since we last reported on the project while the site continues to buzz with activity. In our latest photos we can see that the tower has doubled in height since our last update and is now 13 storeys tall. Even more exciting is the recent installation of the first of the distinctive vertical ivory-coloured cladding pieces which will drape the seven-storey podium. These precast concrete frames will feature 'carved' voids in an irregular pattern, giving the building its unique aesthetic appeal.
Stay tuned to UrbanToronto as we continue to follow the progress of this development. For more information on Plaza's Ivory on Adelaide now, check out our dataBase file, linked below.
