We've highlighted Ted Scott's interest courses before. The US and Japan-trained architect, world traveller, and resident of Toronto has lectured at the U of T and AGO over the years, and throughout 2013 has presented three lecture series at the Women's Art Association on Prince Arthur Avenue.

A fourth series is about to start, and for anyone interested in the architecture all around you, Mr. Scott's illustration-filled lectures are a great way to dig into the design history, no strings attached… or at least nearly no strings: While you don't need to have attended any of the previous courses, don't have to hit every lecture in the new series (each lecture is self-contained), and don't need to be a woman to fill a seat at the Women's Art Association Yorkville digs, the enlightenment will cost you $25 a pop, well worth it for the lecture and the refreshments. Here's this season's line-up:

Bet you didn't know E. Fay Jones' first name was Euine. That's his landmark Thorncrown Chapel in the first photo on the left above. We're giving you that for free (and we know you know that the pic on the right and in the thumbnail is Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater), but the rest is for your edification on Monday afternoons through September and October.
