An update today on the construction on the 707 Lofts in Toronto's Bloorcourt neighbourhood. UrbanToronto Forum members drum118 and yonderbean have posted a host of new shots over the past week in the Forum thread for the project showing how construction of the 5-storey loft condominium is progressing.

The building—developed by the Enirox Group, designed by Tact Design, and built by LCL Builds Corporation—is planned to be complete late this year. Located just south of Bloor Street West on Dovercourt Road, construction on the 707 Lofts began in 2011, and the majority of exterior work is now complete.

A funeral home and a row of adjacent houses were demolished to make way for the project which is reportedly sold out. Enirox had planned for an eight floor high building here, but after significant input from the community, plans for the building were scaled back to five floors.

707 Lofts is true to its name, being located at 707 Dovercourt Road (near Ossington subway station), and a loft-style condominium. It will contain 77 units, including studios, one bedroom, two bedroom, and two-plus-den layouts. Prices started from $250 000. The building has two elevators, a party room, an outdoor BBQ area, and a parking garage with one parking space included in the purchase price for each unit.

Being steps from Bloor Street West and within walking distance to both Dufferin and Ossington subway stations on the Bloor-Danforth line, the location is easily accessible. The surrounding Bloorcourt neighbourhood streets are mostly residential, there are a variety of shops, restaurants, and cafes within a few minutes' walk of the lofts on rapidly hipsterizing Bloor Street to the north and College Street to the south. The very popular Dufferin Grove Park is a five minute walk to the west, giving 707 Lofts residents the opportunity to visit its farmer's market every Thursday.
