Just as Canada is a nation of immigrants, Toronto is a city of immigrants. Waves ebbed and flowed, and the ethnicities and origins of migrants have changed, but for years Bay and Dundas was the centre for newcomers to the city. From Irish immigrants in the late 19th century to European Jews in the early 20th century and Chinese immigrants in the mid-20th century, Bay & Dundas has historically served a diversity of purposes for a fantastically wide swath of people. Today's photo of the day, by Forum member caltrane74, shows off that diversity, manifested in physical form: Ryerson University's Ted Rogers School of Management, the new Motion rental building by Concert, and an early 20th century office building.
