Located at the top of Church Street where it meets Yonge—at the meeting place of two of Toronto's most desirable Neighbourhoods; Yorkville to the West, and Rosedale to the East—Milan Condos by the Conservatory Group is starting to make its mark in the sky. A number of our UrbanToronto Forum members have been out these past several bitterly cold days to snap some photos of the soon-to-be 37-storey tower.
Above, the tower is now well past the top of its 8-storey podium and is reaching higher towards its eventual goal.
Above, the cladding of this EI Richmond Architects-designed building has begun to be applied to the lower floors of what will be a mostly glass covered tower. Below, another shot with a closer look at the glass, and especially its interspersed spandrel panels: terra cotta stripes add an accent beside more muted gray panels.
Below, a wider version of the same shot showing the building from the southeast across Church Street.
Along with what will surely be some of the finest views north of Downtown as well as access to some of Toronto's more highly sought out high end shops and restaurants, Milan residents can expect a great deal of things to do inside as well as out. The amenities list includea a party room with dining area, a gym, a pool and sauna, and an outdoor roof terrace. Check out the pool area below.
Milan is set to top out later this year, and we will keep you updated as the tower continues to take shape. In the meantime the rendering below protrays the whole tower.
