Monarch Corporation's master planned community of Legacy, Ultra and Yorkland at Heron's Hill (Sheppard Avenue East & Highway 404) is progressing nicely with Ultra, the project's second of three towers nearing completion. Ultra is 38 storeys tall and joins the 25-storey Legacy tower, completed earlier this year. The last tower, Yorkland, will complete the trio at 30 storeys. Graziani and Corazza Architects are the project's designers.

Legacy, Ultra and Yorkland at Heron's Hill is just one of several projects that have recently popped up along the Sheppard Avenue East corridor. Below is a view of Ultra as seen from Concord Park Place at 1001 Sheppard Avenue East:

Expect to see the approval of more large development projects along Sheppard Avenue East. It is a prime corridor for intensification with the existing Sheppard Subway and the recently approved Sheppard East LRT that will run on Sheppard from Don Mills station out to east Scarborough. It is expected to be in service later this decade and will serve Legacy, Ultra and Yorkland via the new Consumers Road LRT station.

Below are a couple of shots from the southbound lanes of Highway 404. The site is already well served for vehicular traffic by its location at the junction of Highway 401 and Highway 404.
