A look at an alternative architectural history for Toronto, these three towers were proposed as part of a massive commercial buildout known as the World Trade Centre. Like the original plan for the Bay Adelaide Centre, however, this project was shelved after the sharp market correction of the early 1990s. Although the parcel of land intended for the office portion of the project is now occupied by the Pinnacle Centre, the residential component of the development went ahead as planned. Completed in 1990, the Ziedler-designed project is found at the corner of Queens Quay West and Yonge Street.
