The redevelopment of Regent Park has been underway for a number of years now, with some recently completed components bringing life back to this neglected neighbourhood. The Daniels Corporation (Tarion Warranty Corporation's 2012 High-Rise Builder of the Year and 2012 Toronto Arts and Business Award) has taken on the massive task of revitializing Regent Park, in partnership with the City of Toronto with the goal of bringing mixed-use and mixed incomes to the new residential towers and townhomes. One Park Place, designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects, will be comprised of a 25-storey condo tower with adjoining six- and four-storey structures featuring a mix of residential and retail space. Recently, Daniels held an event for its One Park Place Inner Circle members, giving them a chance to meet and greet representatives from the Daniels Corporation and individuals from other organizations vital to the rebirth of Regent Park, such as the Centre for Social Innovation, Paintbox Bistro, BIXI Toronto and RBC.
