2012 has had a number of trends that have capitalized on the proliferation of social media and the subsequent increased connectivity between individuals and buisinesses. One of the more prolific trends we've seen is the 'pop-up'; fashion shows, cafes, performances, and stores have all received the pop-up treatment, and been wildly successful as a result. Not to be outside popular culture, Streetcar Developments has teamed up with trendy furniture store DesignRepublic to stage a pop-up shop of their own, located in their Queen West presentation centre.

This Saturday and Sunday (June 23 + 24) DesignRepublic will take over the presentation centre at The Carnaby, bringing their selection of mid-century, vintage and contemporary furnishings to the mod-inspired condominium project.

The store will cater to those who crave high design but might not have the know-how when it comes to furnishing a chic living space. Streetcar will pitch $10,000 towards your furniture purchase if you buy a one-bedroom or one-bedroom plus den. That number increases to $16,000 if you decide to go for a two-bedroom suite or larger.

The event will run both days, 11-6 on Saturday and 12-5 Sunday. For more information, including project renderings, head over to the associated dataBase listing below.
