The concrete foundation for X2 Condos at Charles Street East and Jarvis was laid out recently and our Forum members had their cameras ready. The big pour began at about 7:30 am on May 12 and didn't wrap up until 3:00 am the next day. From the looks of things, courtesy of dt_toronto_geek, it took quite a few cement trucks to finish the job.

So much concrete was needed, the cement trucks rounded the corner onto Bloor and waited for their turn.

Here are some good shots of the concrete pumping system. This was taken at 8:00 pm, when the job was still far from over.

Three days later, the construction site looked like this. It's quite a massive site and still so much to be done. We look forward to watching this one develop. To follow the construction buzz, visit the UrbanToronto Forum page for X2 Condos here.
